I believe I've got what you're looking for right in front of me.  It is 
a termination deivce (male on one side female on the other) for a 50 pin
ribbon connector called the "data Mate" ..  It is made by Methods Electronics 
Inc.( I think, the label on the bugger is hard to read). The one we have 
says SINGLE ENDED 405124 on it so I assume they also make a differential
one.  If anybody wants more info than this I can try to find out where we
ordered ours. It may or may not have come from a Canadian supplier.
