We have PC-NFS installed and tried to use the LPD on the PC's but .. We have AT&T UNIX so the deamon provided did not work and will have to be ported. The LPD TSR takes up 128 K whicj puts a heck of a crimp on memory when one adds up the drivers. Not a very good option at all ... UNIX spools great so we decided to put a UNIX box near our users and connect printers near enough to their workstation where as the LPD point is mute .... ************************************************************************ Organization: Cycare Systems Internet : drt%cysog@hbiso.ma02.bull.com UUNET: uunet!hbiso!cysog!drt Phone: (602) 224 0555 | FAX: (602) 224 0872 System: B.O.S.
