Unfortunately, I have lost my information on this program. I seem to recall that an invitation from a japanese company was required. I am not referring to the "Short-Term Visits for Collaborative Research" or associated activities supported by NSF's Japan Program, which I have information about. Does this program sound familiar to any of you?
