What exactly is DNET?  I seem to have missed the beginning of the
discussion on it . . .

All I've been able to figure out (stop me if I'm wrong here . . .) is
it allows one to have multiple sessions to a Unix machine.  Does this
work over a modem?  Or only with some more direct form of connection?
