Of course I tried stuff on the DCTV!! And people you laught when I say 4 bit/pixel but think one second! DCTV use the amiga video chip to output its 'compacted' data, than what resolution amiga has at 60frame second? 640x400x4... and DCTV dont flip pages to get more data. (I show DCTV images with my ushow program..). Hame is '12bit' but only use 6 bit, that make you laught too? DCTV not only rely on the previews color output but also on its position on screen (Just an idea!). For example drawind a yellow line will not only change data on 1 bit aray but many... It need transition colors before geeting to 'true color'. That will make a blury effect eliminating some detail, and could cause a ham like effect ig color chnage is to sudden. Anyway, DCTV is 4bit or 3bit per pixel, and Colorburst is 8bit or 24bit.Take DCTV out of its desing enviroment and it will not perform has a 24bit display. Stephan.
