in general, a peripheral that plugs into the A500's expansion connector will
work on the A1000 if you spin it around (top-bottom orientation the same,
left-right/front-back orientation reversed).  unfortunately, the sidecar
supposedly doesn't work with other autoconfig peripherals on the bus (i
haven't tested this, but it wouldn't surprise me at all).  it's not a matter
of noise or loading or anything, it just assumes it's the only autoconfig
thing on the system.  so your best bet is one of those internal ram expansion
things (insider, in1000, etc) that don't *really* autoconfig, but are
detected by exec anyways.  check for spirit technology advertisements:
they've got plain ram expaners that go inside the machine as well as a SCSI
plus RAM plus floating point processor card that goes inside.  they are
located in salt lake city, utah (US).
