It just depends on the s/w and as there are many different s/w packages about I won't try to summarise here. If you need this and your VMS site administrator can't help you you may find help in news.newusers.questions (or whatever it's called). If you are really stuck you could send me e-mail if you use either of ANU NEWS or EVE (TPU) or EDT to do your news posting.
