Just picked up the latest version of the OS.  It's supposed to be the last
version of AmigaDOS that is released before the ROMs come out.
 
So far, I haven't noticed TOO many changes.  There are some new gadgets in
the PALETTE program in the PREFERENCES directory.  You can select from a
list of built in palette patterns...some are pretty cool.
 
There are also some new additions to the ICONTROL PREFERENCES (either that
or I just didn't notice in them in v2.02).  You have a heading called
COERCION with two gadgets below, one for AVOID FLICKER, the other for
PRESERVE COLORS.  There are also gadgets for SCREEN MENU SNAP, and TEXT
GADGET FILTER.
 
COMMODITIES now have their own directory (in TOOLS), and C= has added FKEYS
back to the commodities list.
 
No new fonts...especially no outlines.  But that copyright notice to ADOBE
is still printed on the floppy labels.
 
The new software installs easily (not quite as easily as v2.02...this one
comes on four disks), and will not trash any assignments so long as they
were made in the USER-STARTUP file.  Also, if you have modified icons for
your SYSTEM2.0: partition, and/or your TRASHCAN (I have a NeXTish
blackhole...I figure it's okay since NeXTStep v2.0 uses a recycle icon for
its trashcan...how quaint :) you'll need to make copies to another disk
until after the install process.
 
If I've missed anything, please post it...I've gone through every directory
with Utilimaster, and checked every program that comes with v2.03, and
these are all I've found.
 
V2.03 is supposed to be VERY stable, though I have had no crash problems
under v2.02.
