What version (if any) of gcc will compile on the Apollo? You need John Vasta's mods to gcc. I would put this in the FAQ file but I've lost the ftp location of the patches. I'm interested in building X11R4, pl 18, on 4500 running 10.3, with gcc. It's not a good idea to build the client libraries with gcc, because you can't share the text segment (in fact, you don't get a text segment). Everything else can be built with gcc as far as I know.
