Firstly, I have an apple IIc and was using a Maestro ZXR modem for communcating. The software was Easylink (which was not pirated!). I set up the software using the auto-config option so I assumed that it was OK. My problems started when I tried to dial a number and it asked for the number, said it was dialing the number and waiting for a response, but the modem gave no indication of what was happening. It then gave the message that the modem wasn't responding. All the equipment I used was practically new (except for the computer itself) and I double checked every connection. What could be the problem here? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to download some useful software. Thanks in advance. Jonathan Coombes c8847468@orion.newcastle.edu.au
