I do a lot of programming etc. on a hp9000 which doesn't have any X stuff installed at all, no libraries etc. What chance do I have to get an xterm to work on it just the same? Can I install it in such fashion that it reads its libs from a local directory (~/lib ..) instead of /lib or /usr/lib?
