I have to disagree.  I too have seen the Gateway Crystal Scan 1024NI and
the Sony 1304.  I find the Sony slightly better at 640x480, but
substantially better at 800x600 and 1024x768.  In my opinion, the Sony is
well worth the extra few hundred dollars.
