Summary: Programming Question Keywords: coprocessor floating point Message-ID: <13281@pasteur.Berkeley.EDU> Date: 1 May 91 23:44:23 GMT Sender: news@pasteur.Berkeley.EDU Organization: International Computer Science Institute, Berkeley, CA Lines: 15 Originator: noble@icsia3 Hi all... I would like to determine whether the program I am developing is running on a machine with an 80x87, and have the check performed at runtime. I would like to be able to give the user of the program a "This may take some time" message if s/he is running the software on a machine that doesn't have an 80x87 installed. I am using Microsoft C. Please email all responses, as I don't often read this newsgroup. I'll send copies of any replies to anyone who mails me a "Me Too" Thanx Brian Noble noble@tenet.berkeley.edu
