I've heard that there are ports of gnu >C (gcc) - are these too large for such a machine? I know of two that are quite functional. Pascal compiler is Mystic Pascal, an apparent clone of Turbo Pascal ver. 3 or less, available on Simtel20 in the pd1: directory. C compiler is pcc12c.arc, really a shareware version of the former commercial product DeSmet C, also available from Simtel as pd1:pcc12c.arc. Both of these work well, both have some limitations compared to current full-blown commercial products. Ross -- Ross A.
