A friend of mine returning from Japan saw a new Casio calculator watch, the VDB-1000-A, selling for about 16,000 yen ~ $124. I have tried to find one in the US, and have the Casio product brochure for 1991 that mentions the VDB-1000-1. The US version has: o 12/24 hr formats o 5 independent daily alarms o Hourly time signals o 120 pages of telememo 6 characters & 12 numerals per page Password function o 120 pages Schedule-memo 8 letter message, month, date & schedule time per page o 120 pages Memo 12 characters * Memories shared among 3 types of memo o Calendar display from 1/1990-12/2089 o World time 24 time zones, city code display in 3 letters, summer time adjustment o 8 digit calculator I understand however, that the Japan version also has a stopwatch, something that is missing from the DBX-100 I currently have. My question is this: Has anyone seen one of these? Do you have any info or impressions? Do you know how I could get a manual? (I've already called Casio HQ in New Jersey, and they don't have any of the watches in.)
