Keywords: help zmodem Zmodem slow Kermit kermit 7-bit broadband Message-ID: <11001@hub.ucsb.edu> Date: 3 May 91 02:35:57 GMT Sender: news@hub.ucsb.edu Distribution: comp Lines: 27 hi...i was on here about a week ago asking about using Zmodem on a 7-bit network. thanks for the myriad of responses. unfortunately the people that told that it wouldn't work were right, and those that told me it might were wrong. the closest thing i have to a lead are the very very complete docs to zmodem which a kind soul sent to me. listed in the "things to come" chapter is "a version of Zmodem that works on 7-bit systems".... yahoo, i said, but then the bad news... sent mail to the guy at "Omen Technologies" (could the name of the company alone signal a problem), and haven't gotten any response as yet. so...my question to all you, as the fake John Sculley put it, "erstwhile netters", is: have you seen it? Zmodem for a 7-bit system. yes, yes, i know, you don't need it, so why would you have seen it, but hey...give a guy stuck on an old network a break... :} thanks much...for the last responses and for the responses to come...
