  I'm looking for some advice in buying a low to mid-range scanner for
the Mac in the $1,000-$1,500 (US or CDN) range.  I would be very grateful
if people would either post or mail their experiences with any particular
models.  If I get a number of responses, I will do a summary of results.

  Things I am looking for are experiences with regards to the ease of use
and scanned picture quality.
