I just got a catalog from Lyben Computer Systems (it's their introductory 
catalog).  It has 'Ink Refills for HP Deskjet Cartridges' by Graphic Utilities.
It says they are compatible with HP DeskJet Plus, DeskWriter, and DeskJet 500.
The price is $8.95 for a black single refill.  It's $12.95 for a 2 pack refill.
They have black, red, green and blue for colors.

It says that shipping is a flat $3.00 per order except on certain products where

I have never ordered from this company so I can't tell you how their service
is.
