  I am working on a project that involves using the modem to first dial a phone
number, and then just strings of numbers (when the user presses a button).  But
I have encountered a problem: to the best of my knowledge, to keep the modem
from hanging up after dialing the numbers, it must dial a semicolon.  It
appears HyperCard pauses about 10 seconds after dialing a semicolon, making my
stack almost useless.
  Has anyone encountered and/or solved this problem?  Thanks in advance.
