Westford MA. Lines: 27 I am looking for MAC-based software that is very good for 3D modeling. It should cost not more than, say, $800 and have these capabilities: (1) Create a 3D figure by either (a) Extruding a plane figure (b) Rotating a plane figure about an axis (c) Merely "declaring" a plane figure to be solid (extrusion with zero thickness) (2) Perform the following manipulations on solid figures: (a) Stack two figures one on top of the other and blend them into a single figure with no visible boundary (b) "Saw" a solid figure into two pieces along any arbitrarily-defined plane and have the choice of using/discarding either piece. (c) "Cut" any piece out of a solid figure. One example would be "drilling" a hole in a block; another would be creating a spherical depression. (3) Numerical k/b entry would be very desireable but not absolutely necessary. (4) There should be both PICT and EPS output.
