Specifically, when printing on a Personal LaserWriter LS from MS Word 4.0, the line breaking "breaks," and causes lines to be broken at a length of about an inch and a half (rather than the actual margin-determined length of 6"). This occurs at any point size that I've tried. Apple's TrueType versions of Times and Helvetica don't exhibit this behavior, so I assume it's a flaw in the Type1 --> TrueType conversion of these publicly distributable fonts. Someone mentioned that FontMonger version 1.0 had problems; perhaps this is an exhibition of further bugs in that program (many of these fonts were converted by Dave Platt, using FontMonger 1.0). I've already sent Mr. Platt mail about the problem. ------- Christopher Tate | | "Joy is the serious cxt105@psuvm.psu.edu | business of heaven." {...}!psuvax1!psuvm.bitnet!cxt105 | cxt105@psuvm.bitnet | -- C.
