I downloaded the thinkc-ctalk source recently, but got complaints ffrom
the compiler:

   First, int and pointer not compatible on the new call, so I cast the
   return as a (ctalk *).  That stopped this error, but then at run-time
   I got an odd address trap.  Any clues?
