Message-ID: <3689@naucse.cse.nau.edu> From: rrw@naucse.cse.nau.edu (Robert Wier) Date: 2 May 91 21:29:34 GMT Organization: Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff AZ Lines: 31 Hello - I have a DA which is in the nature of Disktop (but isn't Disktop) which is having problems with the number of files I have on my harddisk (a Wren Runner 320 megger). I suspect that however the memory is allocated for DAs to run (in this case using DA handler under Multifinder 6.0.5) it's insufficient for the DA. This is because when I dump about 1/2 the files off the disk, the DA works correctly. Having never programmed a DA, I'm unclear as to how memory allocations are handled. I've looked at it and can't find a SIZE resource. Of course doing GET INFO on it in the font/da "suitcase" file does no good. I've also looked at DA handler, but it also does not have a file size box. This da is, incidentally MAXFILES 1.1. Anyone have any suggestion on how to handle this? Please E-Mail or post here.
