Summary: Can do it a for a file, but what calls do I make for a folder? Message-ID: <1991May3.220636.7595@dartvax.dartmouth.edu> Date: 3 May 91 22:06:36 GMT Sender: news@dartvax.dartmouth.edu (The News Manager) Organization: Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH Lines: 10 After reading the Finder Interface chapter of IM-VI, then rereading the chapter, I am still unable to determine how to set a customized icon for a folder. I know this can be done since it's possible to paste an icon into a folder's get info dialog (I did this for a temporary trash folder, looks just like the real thing!) But the IM docs don't say how to indicate that the folder has an icon, neither do they indicate where to put the icon, though I guess it's probably somewhere in the desktop database. On a related note, how can a folder be assigned a four character type so that FindFolder will locate it (and is this possible)?
