The Finder, like Santa Claus, knows what you've been doing. If you drag both a System file and a copy of the Finder into a folder, that folder gets "blessed" as the current system folder. There is a standard code snippet that lets any app find the blessed folder. To unbless a system folder, drag the Finder out of it. A tip: Avoid having more than one blessable folder on a volume. It can be done but it's confusing for all concerned. ========================================================================== Rick Holzgrafe | {sun, voder, nsc, mtxinu, dual}!apple!rmh Software Engineer | AppleLink HOLZGRAFE1 rmh@apple.com Apple Computer, Inc. | "All opinions expressed are mine, and do 20525 Mariani Ave. MS: 3-PK | not necessarily represent those of my Cupertino, CA 95014 | employer, Apple Computer Inc."
