Fouche) Newsgroups: comp.unix.aux Subject: ftp/ ethernet prob... Summary: can't get ftp to work Message-ID: <1991May1.155040.28928@wam.umd.edu> Date: 1 May 91 15:50:40 GMT Sender: usenet@wam.umd.edu (USENET Posting) Distribution: comp.unix.aux Organization: University of Maryland at College Park Lines: 19 I seem to be having problems with the ftp included with the 2.0/2.01 A/UX release. Ftp starts up fine, but refuses to make a data connection with the other machine. The command connection works fine (I can cd and run other commands) but whenever I try to get data (dir/ls/get/put) it fails both under anonymous and user ftp. I think it's probably a problem with my ether setup, since I can't telnet/rlogin/finger/ftp into the machine. Otherwisse all connections out of the machine work fine. Any help would be apreciated. This may be a foolish question on my part (I hope so) or a legit bug in AUX (not again). thanx Sandro Fouche lazarus@wam.umd.edu
