Pardon me for asking a silly question, but we are seriously
considering buying a DEC 5000 for an application port we are doing. If
I develop an application on such a beast will its binaries run on the
DEC 2100/3100 family as well. The application will make use of Motif
as well as TCP/IP. We were looking at a 3100 but the current pricing
on the 5000 is 40% less for an adequate machine for my work. Please
e-mail since we don't get this group, and thankyou for any help.
