how about something simple ... (following the windows scheme of [generally] 
the first letter ...):

b/fish.zip	910430	bmp	 640x480x16 Snapshot of Fish
where the "b" is for the bmp directory, so that wingif would be:

b/u/wingif10.zip ... etc
