When I run: xfd -fn "lucidasanstypewriter-bold-14 there will be a couple second pause and then it will print "xinit: Connection to X server lost", and maybe some broken pipe messages and X will have died. This only happens with this font. Has anyone seen this before, and if so, any ideas what the problem and the fix is? I don't know if this is a corrupted font, a server bug, a combination, or something new and exciting. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks. --Frank Adelstein frank@cis.ohio-state.edu
