In my case I do a remote login from our SPARCS running X11R4pl18 to an HP9000/300 series running HP's version of X11+Motif. If I do a telnet or an rlogin, when I call vi, the screen will scroll to high, it will not show the top of the file. If I run the resize program on the HP, it will print to the terminal the COLUMNS and LINES values. I then execute these commands and everything works ok. Can somebody tell my where is the problem?? Termcap/Terminfo ?? Thanks. David Gonzalez internet: d_gonzlalez@upr1.upr.clu.edu CEENET Lab Staff Oops -> d_gonzalez@upr1.upr.clu.edu University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus -- Engineering School
