What can you tell me about this? Bill, The Arkenstone Reader would not work with a Toshiba laptop, at least not the lower ones. It requires a full-length AT expansion slot for the OCR card. I don't know whether or not some of the 5000 series computers have regular slots, but the lower ones do not, such as the 1000, 1200 and 1600. Even if they did, I am sure the card would really suck up the power. Finally, since the system uses a flatbed scanner, any benefits of portability would be negated. ...
