Hi There!
  My name is Christine Ann Elkan, I am a Computer Science student at Monterrey's
Technological Institute in Mexico. I've got to write up a research
paper for my chemistry class concerning biomedics. My area of interest in
this field is mechanical heart valves used in cardio vascular surgery. Thus, 
I would like to request some information regarding this field. 

    I have contacted a couple of companies, one in Minnesotta and one in 
Minneappolis, who are promoting soft mechanical valves; and a chemical plant  
in Michigan; but I would still like to have more information on the subject.

  As soon as I have all the data concerning these mechanical components:
      What they are made of.
      How they work
      What is the surgical procedure for it's implantation
      Human body reactions to its presence
I will consider posting a copy of my academic research to this newsgroup.

 I will appreciatte it if you send your answers directly to me, as I am not 
currently subscribed to these newsgroups.
