I have written such a hack and placed it on LISTSERV@UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU.
Sorry, there's no FTP; send mail saying GET DOSGOST UUEZIP to the above
address.  Send it GET RUSTEX-L FILELIST for other files of interest, including
the archives of the mailing list used to discuss Cyrillic text processing.
