I thought that readers of this newsgroup might be interested in the 
following notice to car buyers from a major car manufacturer:

                      TO ALL COMPLAINING CUSTOMERS

      We have received complaints about "funny noises" and "bad 
      ride" in our latest cars. We cannot deal with vague 
      complaints. If, for example, you feel that there is a defect 
      in our suspension system -- please identify it specifically. 
      Be precise in stating exactly what is wrong with the 
      suspension system, and include plans on how it should be 
      redesigned. Unless you do this, we will ignore your 
      complaint. (We will also ignore you if your proposed 
      redesign is not, in every way, compatible with details of 
      our manufacturing process -- so please make sure to study 
      this first.)
      
      I'm sure you realize that if we spent our time listening to 
      uninformed car owners it would impede our ability to get 
      new cars to market as quickly as possible.
