Hi.

A simple question that I think belongs here, instead of the video or computer
graphics groups.  I want to design a workstation that has video included. The
question is what ways can I do it and which is the best in picture quality,
refresh rate, and cost. The ability to sync the video with real time data is
important. An example would be, a rocket lifting off and the video is shown
on your screen, while data your collecting about the liftoff is also shown.

I started looking into it and am getting overwhelmed by the number of platforms
(IBM,DEC,MAC,SUN...), boards(matrox,targa,SFPS...), and video chips(Intel....)
