I chatted with an IBM rep at an IBM show here on campus two weeks ago, and he said that the price of OS/2 1.3SE retail is now $150. I notified the campus computer dealer rep of that right then and there, just in case he missed that. Well, I've been checking in every couple of days or so, and our campus computer dealer hasn't heard of any price changes... they still have it at $198 edu price. I tried calling IBM Direct, but after being shuffled around, (including more than one person wondering what OS/2 was and if IBM sold it), the ball got dropped and I haven't heard anything from them. If this is indicative of the enthusiasm and commitment of IBM on OS/2, then things really are in sorry shape. *real bummed out* So... can anyone confirm the price change and force it through channels so that my dealer can sell it to me at the new price? Thanks. -- Bill Chin internet:bchin@umd5.umd.edu U-Maryland, College Park *Standard Disclaimers Apply*
