Message-ID: <605@felix.Sublink.Org> Date: 3 May 91 17:53:52 GMT Followup-To: comp.periphs Organization: Soft*Star s.r.l, Torino, Italy Lines: 15 I'm working on a project that requires scanning some maps and viewing them on a X11 system. I have contacted several scanner distributors but none have tools under Unix for the simple scanning process. All suggest to use a DOS emulator to run their tools just to turn the image into a file, then return to Unix :-( This is inacceptable in my application :-) Has anyone had this same problem? What scanner were used? Any info would be helpfull. Thank you very much -- Enrico Badella Internet: eb@felix.sublink.org Soft*Star s.r.l.
