Keywords: Lack of documentation Message-ID: <1991May8.141231.29072@odin.diku.dk> Date: 8 May 91 14:12:31 GMT Sender: dingbat@freja.diku.dk Organization: Department of Computer Science, U of Copenhagen Lines: 22 Hello, I recently bought a 386/33 with a Data Technology SCSI host adapter, and a Seagate ST1096N. My problem is that the only documentation I received was a "Preliminary Installation Guide". I want to use Minix/386 and need to write a SCSI driver. This I cannot because of the lack of a detailed technical refernce manual. The shop that sold me the beast say that they didn't receive such documentation. Have anyone heard of the company Data Technology a Division of QUME or have anyone even heard of the adapter DTC3280A ??? The "Preliminary Installation Guide" claims that it supports any SCSI device that conforms to ANSI X3.131-1986 and CCS rev. 4B specifications. I do not know these specifications, could someone perhaps fill me in ? I really need to get in touch with the company or someone with knowledge or documentation on how to program the adapter.
