Message-ID: <1991May7.205349.241@forwiss.uni-passau.de> Date: 7 May 91 20:53:49 GMT Sender: usenet@forwiss.uni-passau.de (USENET News System) Organization: University of Passau, Germany Lines: 33 Nntp-Posting-Host: eldron.forwiss.uni-passau.de Hi, We use CAP 5.0 and The GatorBox with Software Version 1.5 to print on LaserWriter II NTX both from Mac's on AppleTalk and from UNIX-hosts, connected to Ethertalk. The LaserWriters are connected to AppleTalk. It works fine, but we also want to send printjobs from the UNIX-hosts to a HP PaintWriter XL, also connected to AppleTalk. Since papif only spools to AppleTalk LaserWriters (or not only ?) we try to use the CAP - programm 'iwpr'. It works fine so far but the last line of a picture is not printed and one has to start the printer again to use it again. Is there a possibility to use the PaintWriter (perhaps with a spooling-program like papif for LaserWriters) from UNIX ??? The GatorBoxes Software Version 1.6 includes GatorPrint to connect AppleTalk printers to UNIX. Does it supports a solution for our problem? Any response would be fine, thank You in advance.
