Okay, at the OSU archives:

  pub/att7300/gnu/g++IN.Z  505513 bytes
  pub/ "         /g++lib+IN.Z 367701 bytes

but over in the /languages/ neighborhood there is:

  """/languages/g++-bin.tar.Z  465981 bytes

According to the old README files, the gcc binary archive is 353901 bytes.

What gives?  Which is correct?

Does g++, with basic C code, generate the same binary size as gcc?  I'd like
to get gcc and g++, but I'd like to avoid duplication.
