Summary: what's up? Keywords: gcc, g++ Message-ID: <15916@helios.TAMU.EDU> Date: 7 May 91 01:24:01 GMT Sender: usenet@helios.TAMU.EDU Followup-To: comp.sys.3b1 Distribution: comp Organization: Texas A&M University Lines: 19 Okay, at the OSU archives: pub/att7300/gnu/g++IN.Z 505513 bytes pub/ " /g++lib+IN.Z 367701 bytes but over in the /languages/ neighborhood there is: """/languages/g++-bin.tar.Z 465981 bytes According to the old README files, the gcc binary archive is 353901 bytes. What gives? Which is correct? Does g++, with basic C code, generate the same binary size as gcc? I'd like to get gcc and g++, but I'd like to avoid duplication. thanks, Brent Burton n138ct@tamuts.tamu.edu
