OK, here's the situation:

Up to this point, it hasn't been too tough.  I have the Ku and Neta corbums
and am trying to get the DAIN & ROS pieces.

I have battled my way to the fourth level (lowest level is 0) on the DAIN
path and ended up in the flying serpent cavern with all the pits.

I need the winged key in the middle of this room to unlock the winged lock
and get the DAIN key to continue on this path and the the corbum.

I know I need to push those three buttons is some order and pits open/close
and walls appear/disappear.  I then need to throw something over a pit but
through a wall and something happens.


The Problem:

I have not figured out what the north and east buttons control.  I am at wit's
end.  The hint oracle is no help.  What EXACTLY must I do to solve this
puzzle?????  Help me now, please!!!
