I don't think any of us believe it would happen so it's a waste of bandwidth. Suggestions for INPUT PAD abilities (input editing, undo/redo, cut/paste, and simple but powerfull text editing) would make the transition much easier and bring new/improved funtionality to the OSF environment. Without DM style PADs, X appears to be a glorified (and CPU expensive) way to get multiple CHARACTER based sessions. OSF is going to have a command line/shell prompt for a long time and that means character input/output and the DM PAD's go a long way to making this much easier. (er..
