Message-ID: <1991May7.112446.11373@cged.co.uk> Date: 7 May 91 11:24:46 GMT Organization: Computer General Electronic Design, Bath, U.K. Lines: 18 I am running Spectre GCR 2.65. I have a hard disc with four ST partitions and two Mac HFS partitions. When I use the Transverter program to move a file from an ST partition to a Mac floppy (MFS format), a part of the file gets lost. The files I am moving are PostScript files of about 100K in size. Typically, I lose a few hundred bytes in one lump, somewhere in the middle of the file. I get no warnings or messages; the first I notice is that the printer doesn't understand the PostScript. It seems to happen nearly every time. I've had to switch to a different method of getting my files to the printer. Can anyone suggest what is going wrong? Some more info: my floppy drive seems to behave itself most of the time. Occasionally, I get a Mac floppy corrupted and when I try to read it on a real Mac, it complains the disc is unreadable. Might be linked, might not. I sent off for Spectre 3.0 a few weeks ago. Might this help when I get it? -- John Richards
