I need a bigger HD for my 286-PC. Currently I'm using a Conner 40MB drive with IDE-interface. I would like a drive of about 150-250 megs, and I would also like to reuse my old controller (If it doesn't degrade performance). What is the price of such drives in the UK and US? Is it safe to mail-order such delicate electronics as a harddive? Any experience? Here in Norway we have to pay $1000++ for such a drive, I have heard it's much less abroad. Any comments welcome! Sincerly Tor-Erlend Faegri.
