Message-ID: <9326.2827ddfe@jetson.uh.edu> Date: 8 May 91 16:16:14 GMT Organization: University of Houston Lines: 13 I have a standard VGA monitor (Zenith Flat Screen 1490) which is not a super VGA. I plan to get a new VGA card which is a 16 bit card because my 8 bit card is a little slow and I can use it in another machine anyway. Is there any benefit to getting any card other than a standard VGA? Do the higher res modes (600x800 etc) or the increased number of colors do anything on a standard VGA? Do some boards have additional fonts which other boards don't have? Any explanation of this stuff would be greatly appreciated. mike benedik university of houston benedik@uh.edu
