(Rockwell) In that case you might want to check out the 65C52...it's basically a two-port version of the 6551 with perhaps some extra features. (I have docs on the 65C52 but not the 6551). I wrote a driver for it (Amiga) and it's easy to program. The only glitch I encountered was that hardware CTS handshaking can't be disasbled. -- Dan Babcock
