Upside: Truetype fonts _can_ be rotated.
Downside: Quickdraw is not yet smart enough to do this.

I suspect that Apple is working on providing Quickdraw support for
text on a path, etc. Heck, we may even see it as early as the first 
release of System 8.0 :-).
