There are two 4 character fields associated with each file, called Creator and Type. Creator is used to designate to Application that created the file, and Type usually denotes the type of file (PICT, TEXT, etc.) Assuming that the file trasnferred over alright, you need to get a utility (like the old shareware version of DiskTop at sumex) that will let you view Creator and Type, and change them. Use the utility to find the creator and type on a sound file that -does- work, then change the creator and type on the Amiga-made sounds file to match. Then it should be recognized. This is most definitely a "hack" way of going about it, and can result in spectacular system crashes if things don't go right. Be warned...
