Anything larger than the 12" low resolution monitor that Apple matched with the LC is UNBEARABY slow even in 8 bit mode. There is not enough horse power in the LC to handle a 640 X 480 screen. Save you money until the price drops, you can afford a IIsi, or can afford an accelerator for the LC.
