Such arrows are used in category theory quite frequently and look like this >----->. I am using \longrightarrow to make the arrow but can not get its tail right. The tail should be like '>' symbol but small. I tried using \scriptstyle but this places the tail a little below where it should be. \raisebox does not help too.
